Everyone in the world has 24 hours a day, that's a fair chance to everyone, but utilizing the time, time management is entirely our choice.
Saying things like, 'One should learn time management' is easy said than done.
But nobody would say it to you if it's not that mandatory.
Firstly, One needs to know the reason behind killing time.
The massive and the only reason:-
Forcing things to be done after some interval is the biggest urge, Procrastination basically. Killing time might help for some time but eventually, you need to get stuff done. If not now, then you are adding and piling up the burden to yourself. So, why not get rid of stuff at the very moment.
When you take a break for 15 minutes or start browsing online, your short break turns into hours without your knowing it.
Distraction occurs; this is acceptable, but it comes with a cost, so you should also look at the cost you might have to pay for such distractions.
Here are some ways that can help in time management and curtail killing of time:
Have a plan
You keep wandering around, wasting hours without a proper plan. But when you specify the things out of your to-do catalog and define a particular strategy, then you are more likely to stop squandering time without purpose.
Describe work hours
Defining particular work hours is an easy task, following the decided time table is what will trouble you. However, if you keep practicing the same, things will get better. After you have started committing to your work hours, you will notice an increase in your production too.
Do difficult exercises first
We all think of completing an easy task before and then moving on to the difficult ones. Doing something easy or tough at the beginning makes us tired after some time and can also lead to boredom, thus giving up. While we focus on difficult lessons first, it makes us think hard, improves the focus, and thus managing time effectively.
Take short breaks
If you feel exhausted in continuing to work for long, go for short breaks. For eg, you got engaged at some social media spot that has taken longer than your usual break time, then spend a minute and think about what you won't accomplish if you keep on scrolling.
And now this is the most important.
Motivate yourself
When one feels motivated, their productivity and richness also increase in direct proportionate.
It takes encouragement and discipline to stay updated with time. Time waits for none.
Keep the pace. Inculcate and learn the habit of time management.
Invest in time and in things that are most important.
Yeah...I agree with all the above tips and I already followed them earlier...but I'm not able to follow them for more than 2 to 3 days.so what's the solution to maintain consistency.
ReplyDeleteHow you start is not important, but how you end a day is important..try to be productive each day..unless you are satisfied, do not stop.
DeleteLook for long term results.
Long term results are just to say...but they are never followed...As of an example if someone is preparing for his competitive exams and he has only 6 months to prepare for the same...how he can focus on long term results...and I was talking about the same consistency as he has to only work everyday for the productive works ...but he can't focus more than 3-4 days on his work.
DeleteThere are examples of people who have continuously worked hard to gain results, nothing comes easy. Success is not achieved overnight, it needs your dedication.
DeleteTalking about the example as above, prioritize your exam, add it to your to-do list (as said above), fix hours for study time. Everything can come to a stop, time won't, thus managing time seems the hardest but is the most important.
Each day, one has a lot of stuff to be taken care of, but the one that needs maximum attention should be prioritized. It's not like one should ignore other things, but managing everything in fixed hours is what we will learn at the end of the day.
Time Management is a process that can be learned while practicing, if you stop learning after 3-4 days, you better know then what is at risk.
Thankyou....I think I need to plan and then prioritise the same
DeleteBest wishes!
DeleteNice, I will surely follow these😄.
ReplyDeleteDo try for better results.
